As a first-generation college graduate and the child of immigrant parents, I have firsthand experience with the challenges that many immigrant families face when adjusting to life in a new country. From overcoming language barriers to navigating the complexities of higher education without guidance, I understand the weight of striving toward the American Dream while carrying the hopes of my family.
Growing up in a culture where mental health was often stigmatized, I was taught to suppress my emotions and to view therapy as something only for those who were “crazy.” This lack of emotional openness left me feeling isolated and confused about the anxiety and depression I was experiencing. It wasn’t until I reached my lowest moments that I realized these struggles didn’t make me weak—they made me human. This pivotal understanding inspired me to pursue a career in counseling and to become an advocate for mental health within the Latinx community.
My passion lies in helping individuals embrace their full selves—guiding them to recognize their worth, understand their emotions, and find strength in their stories. I am committed to providing compassionate, culturally informed mental health support to individuals and families, empowering them to heal and thrive in the face of life’s challenges.
